How to Measure Fluorescence
Fluorescence is measured using the plate reader.

-
The plate reader defines specific excitation and emission wavelengths for the Quantum Dot
-
It then records the intensity (lumens) of light emitted by the Quantum Dots
-
The set of wavelengths that result in the highest intensity recorded can be isolated as the dominant set
-
The fluorescence can be quantified as the intensity of light emitted by the Quantum Dots at the dominant set of wavelengths
